Wormswork 500ml Indoor Pot Plant and Leaf Spray-on bottle

Wormswork 500mL Indoor pot plant and leaf spray-on bottle

The handy 500 millilitre ready-to-use spray-on liquid gold is a pure worm by product laced with a rich microflora that leaves your indoor plants with a lustrous healthy sheen. It’s low in nutrients so you do not force soft leaf growth such as is common with most high nitrogen products sold for indoor plant care, but best of all it has powerful antibacterial and antifungal properties that thwart black spot and fungal diseases. Unlike all horticultural or winter oils on the market it will not burn woolly leaf plants.

I’ve been staggered at how indoor plants in particular that have failed to thrive, jump to attention when this ready-to-use spray-on is used on their foliage.

Take your potted plants outside overnight and spray them there, then bring them indoors next day. That’s so you don’t leave a residue on your walls, because unlike all fish emulsion and seaweed extracts products there is no smell to this Wormswork golden liquid; making it the natural choice for indoors use.
I’ve sprayed it onto newly germinated seedlings too, where vigour is required but not soft lush growth such as you get if water-soluble fertilizers are used and the result is a dense root growth more able to withstand irregular watering.

  Wormswork Liquid Concentrate

This 1 litre liquid gold Wormswork concentrate is a pure worm by product that must be diluted for use; it is available in 20 litre containers. Dilute for hydroponic use to at least 10 parts of water to 1 of this liquid, but for field crops dilute from 20 to 50 parts of water to 1 of the concentrate. Leaf crops such as capsicums and tomatoes can tolerate the higher concentrations of 20:1 but roses seem quite responsive at 40:1. Native plants, such as Banksias and large leaf foliage plants, we’d suggest a 60:1 dilution. The benefits are that plants develop a strong fibrous root system that enables them to better withstand irregular watering or drought effects.

Several open field rose growers report a three-year root system of at least 5 strong roots after just one season in the paddock, applying this liquid concentrate via an in-line drip irrigation system.
It can also be used in commercial fertigator systems and although high in potassium, it does not foul fine misters, like water-soluble nutrients do. There is no sediment in the liquid so the mix does not require agitation when applying on the broad acre through misting applicators.

It is an economical way to apply and get the benefits for a keen home vegetable gardener. Applied to problem soils such as not wetting soils and hanging baskets or pots caused by organic mulches it is a far cheaper solution to the problem than using wetting agents that are highly alkaline surfactants or detergents as we call them in the kitchen. When diluted it is one-third the cost of applying seaweed based soil conditioners!

Wormswork 2 Litre ready to use spray on

This is the ultimate ready-to-use spray-on liquid gold is that answer to many home gardens with shrub and turf problems. A common problem with rolling out fresh turfs of lawn is the short term nitrogen draw down, that makes the leaves turn yellow, quickly solved with a spray of this ready to use Wormswork liquid gold. Professional turf managers are using it to instill root vigour in the cold season when leaf growth is not encouraged, but strong root activity is.

Then when soil temperatures rise in spring, you have a root system to take advantage of the growth period.

We have also noticed far less black beetle activity under lawns that have been regularly sprayed with this product. That’s a huge relief to concerned home gardeners aware of how toxic the usual lawn black beetle controls are; especially if you have children or pets that roll on your lawns. Being a ready-to-use hose on product it can be used and then stored to use whenever a problem arises. I’ve found that it takes about 14 minutes of constant spraying to deplete a 2 litre of concentrate that releases the product at about a 60:1 ratio; which is more than enough for a thorough application over the average lawn and vegetable garden and leave some for later.

The worm castings solids are sold in packs from 5 kilograms up to 25 kgs or by the cubic metre on a pallecon if you are a large user. This is the pure by product of worms grazing on a controlled media of recyclables such as cellulose, abattoir paunch and green organics or putrescibles. Each batch is constant and certified by NASSA as totally organic, unlike most ‘organic’ products on the shelf at your garden centre! Use it confidently on all root crops and foliage plants that you eat, knowing that this worm casting product can be used as a mulch so that water splash will not contaminate your freshly picked home garden produce, with toxic residues, such as is common in most animal wastes and blood meal based products.

It can be used as a 10cm layer and dug into your soil to improve moisture retention, soil structure and action exchange. That just means that nutrients already in your soil but locked up by pH reaction, are quickly released and your plants benefit. Worm castings hold water better than most other organic compounds; it’s what we call hygroscopic and the media hold six times its weight in water before it releases any. That makes it a fabulous surface mulch or organic additive to poor sandy soils, as well as clay loams. When watered is has a solid surface unlike most pine bark based potting mixes that float away when watered. I have used it on very steep sites to retain water and overcome non-wetting soils, to great effect.
